Plant Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a Plant Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the care and maintenance of interior plantscapes at client sites, ensuring that every plant installation remains healthy, vibrant, and aligned with the high-quality standards of Enchantment. The position includes routine plant care, troubleshooting plant health issues, and maintaining positive client relationships while following all company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular plant maintenance at client sites, including watering, pruning, fertilizing, cleaning, and rotating plants.
• Monitor plant health, diagnose issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and take corrective action.
• Replace plants when necessary to maintain high aesthetic standards.
• Follow Enchantment’s plant care protocols and health & safety standards (including OSHA guidelines for ladders and scissor lifts when applicable).
• Accurately log services and report plant health conditions using company technology and communication systems.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, representing the company with courtesy and reliability.
• Assist in installation of new plantscapes and seasonal décor when required.
• Adhere to all company rules, policies, and safety guidelines as outlined in the Employee and Contractor Manual.
• Perform warehouse duties as requested. These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with event or holiday design, cleaning and  keeping warehouse and storage organized. 

Qualifications

• Prior experience in horticulture, landscaping, or plant care preferred (training available for the right candidate).
• Knowledge of plant varieties, care techniques, and troubleshooting common issues a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow detailed care instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., bend, and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Work Environment

• This role involves traveling to multiple client locations (hotels, country clubs, office buildings, etc.) within the Austin area.
• Indoor and outdoor environments, with occasional use of ladders or lifts.
